Canica is a typeface to be used in publications for children. It has been designed from shapes which are simple, clean, easy to distinguish, and pleasant to read. With a regular letter weight —appropriate for beginner readers in continuous text—, the homogeneous texture that Canica creates in a set has a powerful presence that attracts the attention of the novice reader.
Project developed within the EINA Master's in Advanced Typography (2011).

Canica es una fuente diseñada para utilizarse en publicaciones infantiles. Se ha construido a partir de formas simples, limpias, de fácil distinción y agradables a la lectura. Con un peso de letra regular —el adecuado para la iniciación en la lectura de texto continuo—, la textura homogénea que genera Canica en un conjunto tiene una potente presencia que atrae la atención del lector novel.

In 2014 Canica typeface was selected to be included in the exhibition «Lletres d'estudi» at the Art Center La Panera (Lleida): a collection of typography projects created by the students of EINA Master's in Advanced Typography since 2003.

El año 2014 la tipografía Canica fue seleccionada para formar parte de la exposición «Lletres d'estudi» en el Centro de Arte La Panera (Lleida), una muestra con algunas de las fuentes creadas por los alumnos del Máster de Tipografía Avanzada de EINA desde el año 2003.
